Luggage Rules

Can you bring nail clippers on a plane?

Small grooming tools are usually fine in the cabin. Here is where the line is drawn.

Usually yes

Nail clippers, tweezers and nail files are generally permitted in both carry-on and checked baggage. The rules tighten for anything with a blade over a short length.

Scissors are the exception

Scissors are allowed in the cabin only where the blades are under 6 cm from the pivot. Anything longer belongs in checked baggage.
