Who is responsible for your data
The controller for the personal data processed through this website is Flightright GmbH, Revaler Straße 28, 10245 Berlin, Germany. You can reach our data protection team at datenschutz@flightright.de.
What we collect and why
We process personal data to assess your claim, to enforce it against the airline where you ask us to, and to comply with our legal obligations. The categories are limited to what each purpose needs.
- Claim data — your name, contact details, booking and flight details, and the reason for the disruption.
- Correspondence — emails, chat transcripts and call notes relating to your case.
- Payment data — bank details needed to pay out compensation, and the accounting records we must keep.
- Technical data — IP address, device and usage information needed to run and secure the site.
Legal bases
We rely on performance of a contract to assess and enforce a claim you have instructed us to pursue; on legal obligation for tax and anti-money-laundering record-keeping; on legitimate interests for site security and for defending legal claims; and on consent for optional cookies and marketing.
Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working — for example, by remembering your session. Optional analytics cookies help us understand which pages are useful. You can refuse optional cookies without losing access to any part of the service.
This concept build stores the demonstration claim you create in your own browser’s localStorage. It is never sent anywhere, and clearing your browser data removes it.
How long we keep it
Claim data is kept for as long as your case is active and then for the statutory retention period that applies to legal and accounting records. Technical logs are kept for a much shorter period, measured in weeks.
Your rights
- Access — a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — deletion where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it.
- Restriction and objection — including an objection to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Portability — a machine-readable copy of data you provided to us.
- Complaint — to your national supervisory authority, or to the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
