Is a flight from Incheon covered?
Incheon is outside the EU and the UK, so a departure from here is not covered on its own. A flight arriving at Incheon is covered only where it departs from the EU, the EEA, Switzerland or the UK, or is operated by an EU or UK carrier.
What you can claim
The amount is set by the distance of the flight, not the price of the ticket. From Seoul, that usually means:
| Destination | Distance | Band |
|---|---|---|
| Singapore (SIN) | 4,625 km | €600 |
| Dubai (DXB) | 6,728 km | €600 |
| Frankfurt (FRA) | 8,544 km | €600 |
| Amsterdam (AMS) | 8,552 km | €600 |
| London (LHR) | 8,861 km | €600 |
| Paris (CDG) | 8,927 km | €600 |
What to do at Incheon
- Ask the airline to confirm the reason for the delay or cancellation in writing.
- Keep your boarding passes, tickets and every receipt — for meals, taxis and hotels you had to arrange yourself.
- Insist on the care you are entitled to: meals and drinks in proportion to the wait, two free communications, and accommodation if you are stranded overnight.
- Do not accept a voucher where you are entitled to a cash refund.
How we enforce it
Flightright assesses the claim, corresponds with the airline and — where it refuses — takes the case to court at our own risk. There is nothing to pay unless the claim succeeds.
